Artist's Description

One of the most beautiful mares of the Sand Wash Basin HMA near Craig Colorado is Cheyene. She is the lead mare of Corona, the dunalino stallion. Their 2009 foal Tripod was a beautiful Cremello. The horse watchers havent spotted him yet this spring and we are all fearing the worst because he suffered a hock injury at birth. This painting was made from photos of him from the summer of 2010. A portion of the proceeds of this painting will go to the further documentation and preservation of the Sand Wash Basin Wild Horses.
