Artist's Description
This beautiful image of Aries featured in the Video Series "To the Heart of A Mustang" on youtube shows him now as a happy trained and adopted wild horse. He is special because his trainer Kathryn Barrett chose him to show that an older mustang could be tamed and trained to be a useful horse. Aries was started in training at the age of 12 right out of the wild. There are special challenges when a horse is wild and has never dependent on humans. Even more so when that horse is a stallion and has probably at some point had a band of mares that he protected and watched over. This painting of Aries, I think might well be among the best if not the best I have painted so far, is a testament to the possibilities that are Wild American Mustangs!
